Traffic in pune

There are some basic problems which we've to solve as they are relating to welfare of all.Pune's traffic is terrible I'm a puneit and I want to confess that the traffic in pune gets wrost everyday.

I dont think PMC (Pune Muncipal corporation) And R.T.O.(Regional Traffic Office) are totally resposible for this but we the citizens of this great historic city are also reposible.
Let's set aside the issue that what these govermental organisation can do Let's think about what we can do?

Do we've to live like this forever? why we can not stop at a traffic signal for 1 or 2 minutes, when we can wait for 15 to 30 minutes at ticket counter line to see the movie or drama? Can we change this habit which is harmful to us and our loved ones? Yes, it is possible. And I think if we solve this issue which is so simple by joint efforts .I 've a firm belif that is we solve rash driving and rules breaking issues other known known issues also get solved automatically.Come on WE CAN DO IT!!!

The historical place where Kasturba Gandhi,Mahatma Gandhi's wife died,Agakhan Palace is a one of the major tourist attractions in Pune .

The claim to fame of the Agakhan Palace is the fact that the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi along with his wife Karturba Gandhi and Mahadeobhai Desai were imprisoned here in the year 1942, while participating in the "Quit India Movement".

NDA (National Defence Academy)

Pune has a history of warriors, freedom fighters and social reformers.I think to set up a National defence Academy and the prestigious Indian Armed forces Medical College is a reward given for Pune's contribution to the Nation.
  • N.D.A. roughly covers an area of 8300 acres.

  • National Defense Academy is the only Defense Academy that imparts basic training to officers, cadets of all the three branches of the Defense Services for Commission in the Army, Navy and Air-Force.

  • NDA is situated at Khadakwasla, 17 km From Pune. Also, is situated in Pune.

  • A committee headed by Field Marshal Sir Claude J Auchinlek, submitted its recommendations to the Government in December 1946, after studying all the Military academies around the world.

  • Foundation stone of this academy was laid by the first Prime Minister of India, Pt Jawaharlal Nehru on 06 October 1949.

  • On 01 January 1949, the Armed Forces Academy having its Military wing, now called the Indian Military Academ.

  • On 07 December 1954, the interim process crystallised with the commissioning of the National Defence Academy. Formal inauguration of the Academy took place on 16 January 1955.

  • N.D.A. is a joint services academy where cadets of the three wings Army, Navy and Air Force are trained together before they go for their pre-commission training to their respective academies.

PATALESHWAR

The Pataleshwar Temple on Jangli Maharaj Road, is a temple of Shiva in rock-cut caves. it bears resemblance with the massive rock-cut temples of Ellora.
  • Pataleshwar cave temple is a huge temple carved out of a single rock.

  • This temple is with over forty pillars and a bull (Nandi) in front of Shiva.

  • The temple dates back to the Rashtrakoota age and is close to one thousand years old.

  • Many people belives that,Pataleshwar or Shiva was cut out of the rocks in one night in 8th century.

  • The Pataleshwar cave temple at Pune has an exotic arrangement of circular stone at the entrance. The temple has a wide array of seating arrangement, including smaller rooms for the visitors. This temple highlights acute sense of geometry of these architects.

  • This temple is on the road side and one can see this temple while passing.

So if you are in pune then to visit this anciant temple is an worth experience.
